Who is sohMarie ?
My name is Marie Soh. I started out my career in the fashion industry, as a fashion assistant at Vogue, where I had the greatest time of my life! Somewhere along those 10 years in the fashion industry, I fell madly in love with cooking. So I grabbed hold of this opportunity to nurture individuals through healthy, tongue-in-cheek, made-from-scratch wholefoods. Chefs, people, experience and books became (and still are) my teachers and mentors as I continue to grow each day as a chef, coach and better version of me.
My new adventures began at Villandry, where I was practising my craft for 5 years before opening my first cafe. Today, other than being a chef, I also work with like-minded individuals to open their restaurant/cafe - building the brand from concept to realisation menu development, recipe development to team training. I adore the challenge and joy of helping make someone's dream a reality. There is also that elusive thrill about building from scratch.
In 2016, I opened my supper-club sohMARIE (pardon the pun). This enables me to share, my love for cooking and passion for nurturing, with a wider audience. I like to combine different flavours/textures from different cultures with different styles/techniques of cooking to create new amazing flavours.
I am passionate about vegan, raw, gluten-free, vegetable based dishes that is balanced and healthy. Food is pleasure in the eyes of the beholder. So I also enjoy creating meat/fish based dishes to create a pleasurable and nutritional experience for people too. It's all about BALANCE and PERSONAL CHOICE.
I simply cook to pleasure and nurture - using wholesome ingredients as my mom does.

I am just a city girl who is COOKING (and feeding) WITHOUT RULES.
